Electric vehicle owners can now benefit from aftermarket warranty cover after a leading provider introduced the industry first policy.

Warrantywise has teamed up with top motoring journalist and broadcaster Quentin Willson to develop the new tailored policy, with special introductory prices starting from £55 per month. There are currently some 40,000 electric vehicles on UK roads, and with many now out of their manufacturers’ original warranty owners are faced with potentially high repair and replacement costs.

“Having owned several EVs over the last five years, and driven all the available models, it’s time to bust the urban myths about electric cars”, said Quentin Willson.

“EVs work well for many drivers, and cars like the Nissan Leaf, Tesla Model S, Renault Zoe, Citroen C-Zero, BMW i3 and i8 are reliable, popular and fashionable. At Warrantywise we’re reassuring used EV drivers that there’s now no such thing as ‘repair anxiety’.”
