Volkswagen is to give its new Amarok pick-up its first appearance in the UK at the Outdoors Show at the ExCeL London exhibition centre this week.
The rugged 4-door, double cab, Amarok pick-up has a 2.52 m² load area, and an impressive array of safety devices. It is fitted with an Electronic Differential Lock, Anti-Slip Regulation, Electronic Stabilisation Programme, Hill Hold Assist, Hill Descent Control, and an off-road ABS system designed specifically to reduce stopping distances when driving on loose surfaces.
Following its debut at the Outdoors Show, the Amarok will be available for viewing at Volkswagen Van Centres across the manufacturer's UK network, with a series of static displays planned ahead of the arrival of the first right-hand drive models this spring.
Appearing at the Outdoors Show alongside the Amarok will be a limited edition of the Volkswagen California camper designed in partnership with outdoor clothing specialists Berghaus. The limited edition Volkswagen California Berghaus will be available later this year with a 183bhp 2.0-lite BiTDI engine, and features, as standard, a bike rack, awning, carpet mat and waterproof seat covers both with Berghaus branding, and 18-inch bi-colour 'Dakar' alloy wheels.
The 10th annual outdoors show will take place at London Docklands' ExCeL exhibition centre from 13-16 January, and showcases all areas of outdoor pursuits.
