Volkswagen have launched a new top-of-the-range trim for their Polo, the R Line.
The new Polo R Line is available to purchase from £15,195 for the three-door model and from £15,815 for the five-door model.
The R Line is powered by a 1.2-litre 104bhp TSI petrol engine, which comes with a six-speed manual gearbox. The vehicle is capable hitting 62mph in 9.7 seconds, reaching a top speed of 118 mph. The R Line emits 124g/km of CO2 and returns a combined 53.3 mpg.
"On the outside, the R Line is distinguished by a unique styling pack," claimed the manufacturer.
The outside of the new Volkswagen Polo features deeper and sportier R Line front and rear bumpers, a black gloss radiator grille with R Line badging, 16-inch 'Mallory' alloy wheels and deeper side sills.
In addition, the vehicle’s rear glass is dark-tinted and 65% light-absorbing. The standard front fog lights, in contrast, include a static cornering function.
Equipment
The comprehensive equipment of the vehicle features an RCD 310 radio/CD player with six speakers and multi-device interface for plugging in an iPod, semi-automatic air conditioning, a multifunction trip computer, and electric windows (included within the five-door model as well as three-door).
On top of this, other features such as height-adjustable front seats, a split-folding rear-seat backrest, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, illuminated vanity mirrors, front and rear reading lights and a tyre pressure monitor also come as ‘standard equipment’ in the new Volkswagen Polo.
Although first deliveries of the car will take place in July 2012, car buyers looking to get their hands on this new Volkswagen can start placing their orders now.
