Vauxhall’s £2,000 scrappage scheme, which returned in May for the third consecutive year, has now hit the 20,000 customer milestone.

“While rivals are now trying to catch up with our scrappage scheme, Vauxhall has already surpassed the 20,000 vehicle milestone, with over 5,000 of those in 2017,” said Leon Caruso, Vauxhall’s Retail Sales Director.

The scheme sees customer able to save £2,000 on the cost of a new Vauxhall in exchange for their current vehicle being traded in and scrapped. The traded-in cars are disposed of by Vauxhall’s recycling partner Autogreen, and of the 20,000 vehicles scrapped via the scheme since 2015 almost a third have been non-Vauxhall models.

The scrappage scheme discount can even be used in conjunction with Vauxhall’s range of finance and Personal Contract Payment Plans.

For more information on the scheme you can visit your local Vauxhall retailer.
