Vauxhall have revealed some of the additional precautions it plans to implement as it looks ahead to resuming production at its Ellesmere Port plant.

The measures include checking employees’ temperatures, daily supply of fresh PPE, distancing, keeping non-fire doors open to reduce contact with handles, and increased cleaning.

It has not yet been confirmed when a restart of production is expected, but the plant’s management is to meet with union representatives to conduct a final review of the new safety procedures, with over 100 new measures to be discussed.
