Toyota have created a one-off special version of its popular Yaris in order to raise money for Red Nose Day, the world’s first ticklish car.

Unveiled in London by ‘Celebrity Consultant’ Mr Tickle, the Yaris has been constructed with a host of tender spots which, when tickled, produces a burst of infectious laughter provided by comedian Lenny Henry.

The ticklish Toyota will tour the UK, taking in Birmingham, Manchester, and Glasgow this week, as the company – which is an official Red Nose Day partner – aims to raise £1million for Comic Relief.  The one-off Yaris will then undertake a busy schedule of fund-raising appearances, including the Comic Relief Danceathon at the Wembley Arena on 8 March.

Toyota have also produced a mockumentary movie detailing the car’s creation which can be viewed on the manufacturer’s social media channels.

“Toyota has made millions of cars, but never one like this before”, said Toyota GB President Matt Harrison. “We hope the special Ticklish Toyota will help people have a real hoot raising money for Red Nose Day.”
