Suzuki have issued a safety recall on their recently released Celerio city car.

The recall is in relation to the retraction of the brake pedal after the issue came to light during a road test last week.

The Suzuki Celerio only went on sale at the start of this month, and the manufacturer is directly contacting the small number of customers who have already taken delivery of their vehicles. Suzuki will be providing those customers affected with a loan vehicle while full safety checks are carried out, and has also taken the step of temporarily suspending the sale of Celerios in the UK.

The safety recall is for right hand drive Celerios sold in the UK, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand only, with other right hand drive markets and all left hand drive markets unaffected.

Celerio owners who are concerned their vehicle may be affected by the recall should contact their local Suzuki dealership.
