SEAT has announced the pricing and specification details for its new four-wheel-drive Leon X-PERIENCE estate model.

The latest addition to the Leon range, the new X-PERIENCE will be available to order from 1st September with prices starting from £24,385. There will be two trim levels – SE and SE Technology – both giving enhanced equipment levels over the equivalent SEAT Leon ST. The range begins with the £24,385 Leon X-PERIENCE SE 2.0 TDI manual, with the range-topping Leon X-PERIENCE 2.0 TDI 184 DSG costing £28,870.
The SE trim gets 17-inch twin-spoke alloys, black roof rails, tinted rear windows, rear parking sensors, and twin exhausts, while on the inside there is dual-zone climate control, leather steering wheel with orange stitched X-PERIENCE motif, and cloth front sports seats with leather bolsters.  The SE Technology specification adds a 5.8-inch colour touch-screen, DAB and satellite navigation, and automatic headlights, wipers, and rear view mirror.  The SE Technology gains Alcantara upholstery, while externally you will find LED head and tail lights, electrically folding door mirrors, and 18-inch alloy wheels.
The Leon X-PERIENCE trim can be further enhanced by choosing the Lux pack option.  The Lux pack adds £1,250 to the purchase price, but includes black leather upholstery, heated front seats, heated headlight washers and washer nozzles, electrically-adjustable driver’s seat, and chrome roof rails.
The four-wheel-drive X-PERIENCE brings new capabilities to the Leon range, with added ground clearance, and a practical 587-lite capacity boot which grows to a voluminous 1,470-litres with the rear seats folded flat. SEAT’s 4Drive system comes with dynamic stability control which manages the cars weight distribution to maximises traction and handling.  An extended electronic differential lock is also included to aid cornering.  The 4Drive system uses a fifth-generation, multi-plate Haldex clutch, driving the front wheels in standard driving conditions, but electronically monitoring and reacting instantly to any loss in traction by sending drive to which of the four wheels has the most grip.
The UK showroom launch for the SEAT Leon X-PERIENCE doesn’t come until December, but orders for the new model are being taken from the start of September.
