Porsche has confirmed that the new 918 Spyder will be offered to buyers in the firm's iconic Martini Racing livery.
The Martin Racing colour scheme pays tribute to the Porsche racing cars of the 1970s which wore the Martini colours in competition. The most famous of these is the Porsche Type 917 which won the Le Mans 24 Hours in 1971.
The partnership between Porsche and Martini continued throughout the 1970s, and is arguably one of the most evocative alliances in racing history.
Porsche has not announced how much extra it will cost for buyers to specify their car in the Martini Racing livery.
The 918 goes into production next September and the first cars are expected to be delivered to customers in early 2014.
