Images which appear to be official photographs of the new Porsche 911 Targa have appeared online ahead of the car's official unveiling at the Detroit Motor Show later today.
Designed to slot into the 911 range between the tin-top and the cabriolet, the 911 Targa will echo the design of the original 1965 911 Targa by featuring a wraparound rear windscreen and a removable centre roof section which is likely to be electrically-operated.
There's no word yet on what engines the Targa will use; however, it seems likely that the engine choice from the Coupe and Cabriolet will be carried over, with a choice of 345bhp 3.4-litre and 394bhp 3.8-litre flat-sixes available.
More information will be released when the car makes its debut in Detroit later today.
