Peugeot has released pricing and specification details for its new 508 range.
The new model goes on sale in the UK in April, and will be available in both saloon and estate body styles with five trim levels: Access, SR, Active, Allure, and GT. The Peugeot 508 range will be powered by a range of engines, with two petrol and five diesel options. The 1.6-litre HDi diesel engine also comes with the option of a stop/start system which, along with a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox, returns a range-topping 64.2mpg combined when fitted into the saloon model.
Prices for the range will start a £18,150 for the Peugeot 508 Access 1.6-litre VTi. The petrol engine is allied to a 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox, and produces 120bhp with a combined fuel economy of 45.6mpg and CO2 emissions of 144g/km. Estate models begin at £19,175 for the Peugeot 508SW Access 1.6-litre VTi.
The lowest priced diesel in the range is the Peugeot 508 Access 1.6-litre e-HDi, which has a price tag of £19,050. Fitted with a 112bhp diesel engine and 6-speed electronically controlled manual gearbox, this model returns a combined 64.2mpg and has CO2 emissions of 109g/km.
The range topping model is the Peugeot 508 GT HDi, which has a 204bhp diesel engine generating 338lb-ft of torque at 2000rpm, and a 6-speed Automatic gearbox. The saloon model, costing £28,750, returns a combined 49.6mpg and 150g/km of CO2 emissions. The estate model 508SW GT HDi returns a combined 47.8mpg with 154g/km of CO2 emissions, and will be available for £29,975.
