The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has broken the 100,000 European sales mark little over four years after entering the market.

The Outlander PHEV has been Europe’s best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle in 2015, 2016 and 2017, accounting for 13 per cent of the EV/PHEV market.

With 34,108 sold, the UK has been the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV’s most important market. The petrol/electric hybrid outsold all other pure electric and hybrid plug-in vehicles in the UK last year, cementing its status as the nation’s favourite plug-in.
