Hyundai have confirmed final pricing and specification details for the new i30 range, ahead of order books opening later this week.
The new i30 range, which was officially unveiled back in December, will go on sale priced from £15,195 for the entry-level S models. The i30 range includes both hatchback and estate Tourer models, as well as a new sporty 3-door turbo model.
The i30 S replaces the outgoing Classic trim level, and includes keyless entry, USB and AUX connections, Bluetooth connectivity with steering wheel remote control, and air conditioning as part of its package of standard equipment.
Moving up the range, the i30 SE adds 16-inch alloy wheels, auto cruise control with speed limiter, drivers electric lumbar support, rear parking sensors, and leather steering wheel and gear knob, with prices starting from £16,495. Meanwhile, the SE Nav model adds satellite navigation and rear view camera.
The Hyundai i30 Premium, with prices starting from £20,295, gains auto-levelling HID headlights, 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seat facings, dual zone climate control, heated seats, heated steering wheel and smart key with engine stop/start button.
For the first time Hyundai are including a turbo model in the i30 range. Powered by a 184bhp 1.6-litre engine, the i30 Turbo boasts a 0-60mph time of eight seconds flat. Priced at £22,495 for the exclusive 3-door model and £22,995 for the 5-door hatch, the new i30 Turbo features 18-inch alloy wheels, sports body kit, Turbo badge, perforated leather steering wheel with red stitching, sports suspension, satellite navigation, black and red cloth or artificial leather sports seats and LED rear tail lights.
Engine options include 109bhp and 136bhp variants of Hyundai’s 1.6-litre diesel engine, while petrol power plants come in the form of 99bhp 1.4-litre or 118bhp 1.6-litre units or the aforementioned new Turbo-GDI. Additionally, the 1.6-litre diesel can now be specified with the new 7-speed dual clutch transmission, which provides greater fuel economy and performance than the 6-speed transmission fitted to previous i30 models. As a result, the1.6-litre CRDi Blue Drive sees its CO2 emissions fall from 145g/km to 109g/km. The most fuel efficient models in the new i30 range emit as little as 94g/km while delivering as much as 78.4mpg.
Other features of the new i30 range are newly designed alloy wheels, and a brace of new colour options – Polar White and, exclusive to the i30 Turbo, Jet Black.
Order books for the new i30 range will be open from this Thursday (26 February), with a showroom launch to follow early next month.
