MINI have made a number of updates to their range, including specification enhancements and exclusive new personalisation options.

The MINI Chili Pack, an optional extra bought by more than half of MINI Hatch buyers and three quarters of MINI Clubman customers, now includes LED headlights and fog lights.  This is joined by two new packs, the MINI Tech Pack and MINI Yours Pack. The MINI Tech Pack is available on MINI Hatch and Convertible models, adding MINI Head-Up-Display, a rear-view reversing camera, and a fully integrated 8.8 inch central display with 20g hardrive, 3D mapping and real-time traffic information. This also includes MINI Connected XL with its Journey Mate function, which allows drivers to map their journey with way points and reminders before even getting into the car. MINI Connected is also fully compatible with Spotify, controlled directly via the MINI Controller. A 12-speaker Harman Kardon stereo system combines two under seat subwoofers with five mid-range speakers and five tweeters. The MINI Yours is available on Convertible and Clubman models, adding Walk Nappa hand-stitched steering wheel, leather seat upholstery with braided piping, quilted leather design, Union Flag embroidered headrest, and additional interior lighting.

Meanwhile, from March all MINI Hatch and Clubman models will come as standard with MINI Teleservices and MINI eCall. MINI Teleservices monitors the car’s service, alerting the customer’s selected MINI Retailer for an appointment to fix any detected issues. MINI Financial Services is now also able to offer significant car insurance discounts for MINI Hatch drivers with MINI FlexiMile Insurance, which uses MINI Teleservices to accurately monitor the amount of miles driven.  Drivers who typically achieve 6,000 miles or less in a year will qualify for a discount on MINI Car Insurance if they opt for the new MINI FlexiMile Insurance product.

MINI eCall can read the speed and angle of the car on impact in the event of an accident, as well as the number of airbags deployed and how many seatbelts were in use at the time, using this data alert the emergency services. With its own battery unit and speaker, MINI eCall can function independently of other vehicle systems in the event of a severe incident.
