Mercedes have unveiled a facelifted version of their C63 AMG. The new car will be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March.

The C63 will retain its 6.2-litre V8 and power will remain the same at 445bhp. However, Mercedes will be offering a performance package which will up the power to 474bhp and take the car on to a top speed of 174mph. This performance increase will be down to the C63 sharing mechanical components with SLS supercar, including pistons and con-rods.

The new car also gets the MCT seven-speed transmission which will cut the 0-62mph time by a tenth, bringing the saloon’s down to 4.4 seconds and the estate’s down to 4.5. According to Mercedes, it will also cut fuel consumption by up to 10%. AMG has also fiddled with the suspension and tweaked the springs for improved ride comfort.

The C63 also gets the same headlights as the standard facelifted C-Class, a new grille and a new bumper with integrated LED daytime running lights.

The C63 will be available to buy some time during the summer. As for price, expect it to cost around £55,000.
