This, as some of you doubtless already know, is a Ferrari Dino 246GT; however, what you probably don't know is that it's about to go up for auction with no reserve, despite having been owned by a guitarist you might just have heard of.

That guitarist in question is a certain Mr Keith Richards of a little-known rock band by the name of The Rolling Stones. 'Keef' bought the car brand new in California in 1972, importing it into the UK in 1975 and clocking up just 25,000 miles before he sold it in 1986. After this, it was sold to a collector, spending most of its time in a Japanese collection and covering another 3,000 miles.

One thing which confuses us, however, is that given Mr Richards' well-documented dalliances with substances both legal and illegal; how he managed to drive any sort of car 25,000 miles without eliciting the interest of Plod. Or driving into a swimming pool.

But I digress. The Fezza will go under the hammer at Coys' auction in Monaco next Friday. A Coys spokesperson said of the auction:  "A Dino offered at no reserve is rare enough in itself and would make this is a highly desirable and collectible item in its own right

"But when one adds to this proven long-term ownership by rock and roll aristocracy, the Keith Richards's car has to be the ultimate Dino and will surely give any car collector and rock enthusiast a great 'Satisfaction'!"
