Jaguar has revealed that a new performance version of the XFR will be unveiled at the Los Angeles motor show next week.

The new XFR-S will be the fastest and most powerful saloon car Jaguar has ever produced and, although the official details are yet to be released, it's likely that the XFR-S will be powered by the same supercharged 5.0-litre V8 fitted to the XKR-S.

The engine is expected to develop around 540bhp, making for a 0-62mph time of around 4.5 seconds.

The image does show that the XFR-S will feature more aggressive bodywork than the standard XFR including a carbon-fibre front bumper. It also seems likely that the car will make its debut finished in the French Racing Blue you see here.

The Jaguar XFR-S is expected to go on sale in the UK early next year, with an asking price of around £75,000.
