The Ford Mondeo has scooped yet another award as one of Practical Caravan magazine’s “Tow Cars of the Year”.
After being recognised for two accolades at the What Car? Awards earlier this year, the Mondeo 161bhp 2.0 TDCi Titanium estate with Powershift transmission came out on top in the 1,575 – 1,724kg kerb weight category.
In addition to the efficient engine and smooth transmission, the judges were also impressed by the updated interior features.
"Our driving judges were very satisfied with the Mondeo's stability, right up to the legal limit and beyond. A brilliant estate and a swift and secure towcar" said Nigel Donnelly, editor of Practical Caravan. "You could argue the Ford Mondeo didn't need its recent facelift - it was still one of the best family cars around. But useful improvements have been made to the latest car".
