Ford maintained its position as the UK’s most popular brand last month, topping the sales figures in both the car and commercial vehicle sectors.

With 7,617 new registrations, the Ford Fiesta is the UK’s most popular new car, leading its closest competitor by 1.2%.  The Fiesta is joined in the best-seller list by its Focus and Kuga stablemates.  With a new Fiesta on the way, Ford aims to continue that success story well into the future.

Ford of Britain boss Andy Barratt said, “It’s an exciting time as we continue to build on our successes and prepare to launch the all-new Fiesta. Every successive Fiesta model has improved on the one before, and this new Fiesta is simply outstanding.”

Moving on to the commercial vehicle sector, Ford recorded a one-two with the Transit Custom and Transit topping the latest sales charts released by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders.
