Auto Express magazine has named the Ferrari 458 Italia 'Performance Car of the Year' for the second year in a row.

All of the cars on test were marked for performance, handling and desirability, with the 458 coming on top in all three categories. Steve Fowler, Editor of Auto Express, said of the 458, "Nothing has come close to matching its blend of performance, agility, style and quality - this is a car that's as thrilling to drive as it is to look at."

The Ferrari saw off competition from the Mercedes C63 AMG Coupe, the Porsche Cayman R, the Aston Martin Vantage S and the McLaren MP4-12C to take home the title. The 458 already has quite a full trophy cabinet, having won Top Gear's 'Car of the Year, Fifth Gear's 'Fast Car of the Year' and 'Performance Car of the Year' awards from Auto Express, What Car? and CAR Magazine.
