Ferrari is set to auction a special one-off 599XX Evo to raise funds for the victims of the recent Italian earthquakes.

The 599FXX Evo includes a special plaque dedicated by Ferrari boss Luca de Montezemelo which signifies the car's exclusivity. The winner of the auction will also have the car presented to them by Ferrari F1 drivers Felipe Massa (subject to change) and Fernando Alonso.

If you fancy buying the 599FXX Evo, however, you'll have to be pretty well-heeled as the reserve price has been set at 1.35 million Euros (£1.09 million).

If you want to help the cause and end up with a more, ahem, wallet friendly bit of Ferrari memorabilia, you're in luck. Ferrari is also auctioning a selection of racing paraphernalia, including suits, gloves and helmets signed by Messrs Alonso and Massa, as well as a racing suit worn by Giancarlo Fisichella. Also up for grabs is a 2008 Ferrari F1 engine, with a reserve price of 50,000 Euros (£40,459).

The auction begins today at 3.00pm BST (4.00pm CET) and continues until 20th June.
