Online configurations for the Ford Mustang reach the half a million mark after the announcement that it will be available to order in Europe.
After 50 years of the Mustang, there was a wave of demand to configure and price models by potential customers; in just one month there were 1.1 million visits to the website where admirers of the classic model were able to build a Mustang to their dream specification.
“The rush to configure Mustang online represents 50 years of pent up demand across Europe,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe. “For some people, the new Mustang is the car they have waited for their whole lives.”
The most popular choice for UK customers was the 5.0 litre V8 engine and the most chosen colour was Race Red. The new model is available in 10 exterior colours with 19 inch alloy wheels as standard. Also included is a performance brake package, automatic Xenon headlamps, LED tail lamps, rear diffuser, dual-zone climate control, nine-speaker sound system, and SYNC 2 voice control connectivity with eight-inch colour touch screen.
The Ford Mustang will be available to order in some FordStore locations across Europe and will arrive in the UK later this year.
