The all-new Nissan Micra has now completed its UK sales introduction with the arrival in showrooms of the entry-level 1.0-litre 70bhp petrol model.

Now available for test drives at Nissan retailers, the manufacturer anticipates the entry-level model will account for around a fifth of all sales of the new Micra range.

The new engine joins the already-on-sale 0.9-litre three-cylinder turbo petrol and 1.5-litre four-cylinder diesel power plants to the complete the new Micra line up.  Linked to a five-speed manual gearbox, the new engine offers 61.4mpg and CO2 emissions as low as 103g/km.

The new Micra is longer, wider, and lower than its forebears, and the evolution of the model continues with all-new styling, premium soft-touch cabin materials, the latest technology including Intelligent Lane Intervention, BOSE Personal audio system with speakers built into the driver’s head rest, and a wide range of personalisation options.

The new Micra can now be seen in the flesh at Nissan retailers.
