Romanian car manufacturer Dacia is bringing a selection of its models to the UK market in 2013. The company has now has announced that it will be releasing pricing details for UK drivers in June this year.

Dacia, which is a sub-brand of manufacturer Renault, argues that its new range will offer 'shocking affordability'.

The car maker has revealed that the small 4x4 Duster will start from less than £10,000 in a 4X2 format while 4X4 versions will come in at under £12,500.

The manufacturer claims that no other maker in the UK can rival the space and price offered by its 4x4. The Duster will be the first model to reach UK showrooms in late 2012.

If the 4x2 Duster is compared to the Nissan Qashqai, offering a similar size, it will beat the Japanese model's price by £6,000.

The Dacia Sandero supermini, due to be launched in January 2013, will be priced at under £7,000.

Exact pricing and specifications for all models will be detailed by the firm on 28th June. "Dacia always offers incredible value-for-money, and the UK will be no exception," the manufacturer says on its website.

Dacia customers will also have the opportunity to tailor the spec of their cars using the firm's 'smart buy' concept. This will enable drivers to add details to the car to match their exact needs, without buying additional option packages.

Although UK drivers may not be familiar with the brand it has become the leading manufacturer in Morocco and Romania. In 2010 it was also the fifth best-selling car brand in France as well as finishing second, just behind Audi, in the 2010 J.D. Power Customer Satisfaction Survey in Germany.

Dacia was purchased by Renault in 1999 and the firm sold 348,000 vehicles in 2010.
