Porche’s new Cayenne GTS will launch in the UK in July, at an on the road starting price of £67,147.

The model will first be unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show on April 23 and its manufacturer argues that the vehicle has ‘its own special character enabling it to be differentiated clearly from its siblings’ the Cayenne S and the Cayenne Turbo.

The vehicle delivers 420 bhp via its 4.8-litre V8 engine and eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission with a top speed of 162mph. An Auto Start Stop function and gearshift controls on the steering wheel are additional features of the Tiptronic S.

The Cayenne GTS has combined fuel consumption of 26.4 mpg and can reach 0-62mph in 5.7 seconds, taking 13.3 seconds to go from 0-100mph. The model boasts a SportDesign steering wheel with paddle-shifters, a sports exhaust system and Bi-Xenon headlights.

This is in addition to front sports seats with eight-way adjustment and a bespoke leather interior.
CO2 emissions on the 4 x 4 are 251g/km and the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) means that the model ‘is even closer to the road and handles with trademark composure and agility’. The system is complemented by a body which has been lowered by 24mm in comparison to Cayenne S.

Exterior details on the GTS include a roof spoiler with twin-wing profile, window surrounds and trims in a high-gloss black finish, prominent side skirts and wider wheel arches.

The model is also fitted with a Thatcham Category 5 standard Porsche Vehicle Tracking System (VTS).

The Porsche Traction Management (PTM) also equips the vehicle with the following features: automatic limited-slip differential (ABD) and traction-slip control (ASR), active all-wheel drive with electronic control and a map-controlled multi-plate clutch.

As well as being given the chance to purchase the vehicle through the Porsche solutions financing plan, giving them an opportunity to get a new Porsche every two to three years, drivers will also be able to take up a complimentary course at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.
