A tweaked BMW X1 will be unveiled for the first time at the Detroit Motor Show next year ahead of a spring 2014 launch.
The changes are minimal and are limited to a number of minor exterior modifications and a range of new interior equipment.
On the outside, the new X1 gets new air intake vents in the front apron, new 17-inch alloy wheels with a V-spoke design and daytime-running lights as standard. There are also some new stainless steel inserts and a new exterior paint option: Sparkling Brown metallic.
Inside, the surface of the instrument cluster has been upgraded with new soft-touch materials, on xLine, Sport Line and M Sport models at least, and BMW's ConnectedDrive system offers a greater range of services than before.
Engines and prices are expected to remain the same as before, with the cheapest X1s costing £25,755.
