Images of the new BMW M3 and M4 have been leaked online ahead of the cars' planned world debuts at the Detroit Motor Show next month.
Although BMW has previously released information on both the new M3 and M4, this is the first time we've been offered a glimpse at what the final production cars will look like.
The M4 Coupe will replace the old two-door version of the M3 in the BMW line-up when it goes on sale in the UK next summer.
Both cars will be powered by a brand new twin-turbo 3.0-litre straight-six engine, producing 424bhp and at least 500Nm (369lb-ft) of torque. No performance figures have yet been released; however, it seems likely that the M4 will undercut the current M3 Coupe's 0-62mph time of 4.8 seconds by a considerable amount. Top speed, as ever, will be electronically limited to 155mph.
The Detroit Motor Show will begin on 13 January 2013.
