BMW have added a host of new colours to their hybrid i8 model as part of the BMW Individual programme.

Priced from £5,495, the new paint colours include Java Green, Speed Yellow, Solar Orange, Twilight Purple Pearl, Frozen Grey, Frozen Black, San Marino Blue and Grigio Telesto Pearl, with non-metallic, metallic or Xirallic finish - which uses a mixture of synthetic mica or aluminium flakes to produce eye-catching effects – all available to order.

BMW were prompted to roll out the new paint options after the success of the limited edition Protonic Red hue recently launched exclusively in the UK.  Over 1,400 examples of the 362bhp hybrid-powered i8 have been sold in the UK since its launch in 2014, collecting the World Green Car of the Year Award along the way thanks to its 49g/km CO2 emissions and combined 134.5mpg fuel consumption.

Richard Hudson, Sales Director for BMW UK, said: “The new paintwork colours not only complement the BMW i8s emotive styling and design, they also work harmoniously with the BMW i brand and provide customers with exclusive personalised options.”
