BMW has announced that the new 2 Series Active Tourer will be available with an optional M Sport package, which boasts more aggressive styling and a raft of suspension upgrades.
Opting for the new M Sport package gives the 2 Series Active Tourer a new front bumper and new 17- or 18-inch alloy wheels. Exclusive Estoril Blue paintwork is also included, as is a high-gloss black finish for the double front kidney grilles.
In addition to this, the M Sport Package also brings upgraded suspension, sharpened steering and a 10mm lower ride height than the standard car. Inside, the 2 Series Active Tourer also gets an M Sport steering wheel.
The 2 Series Active Tourer, which was revealed at the Geneva Motor Show earlier this month, is the first front-wheel drive car the company has ever build and is based upon the same platform as the MINI. Under the bonnet is the same 1.5-litre engine you'll find in the MINI too, developing 134bhp, while a 148bhp 2.0-litre diesel is also on offer.
BMW has yet to confirm how much the Active Tourer M Sport will cost; however, expect prices to start from around £25,000 when it goes on sale later this year.
