Britain’s favourite adventurer will become the global brand ambassador for Land Rover.

The British based manufacturer has been promoting the ‘Above and Beyond’ motto and believes that Bear Grylls personifies that spirit with the notoriety he has gained for scaling Mount Everest and leading Arctic expeditions amongst other challenges.

On his appointment, he said: “I’ve used Land Rover vehicles throughout my life, during my military career, on countless expeditions and then while filming, from deserts and jungles to the highest mountains. They always deliver a rugged reliability that you can always count on when the chips are down in hostile environments.“

Land Rover is all about adventure, and adventure has always been in my DNA. For the toughest challenges, a Land Rover is always my vehicle of choice, which is why I’m so proud to be associated with the brand.”

One of Bear’s responsibilities will be to work with Land Rover’s Next Generation Explorer, Alex Woodford who will take part in a Land Rover adventure challenge later on in the year. The last challenge Alex took part in included a slalom drive on snow covered slopes, a 180kg sled pull and a kayak race based on Lake Geneva.
