This, ladies and gentlemen, is the fastest road-going Aston Martin ever made.
Called the Aston Martin V12 Vantage S, the new car is essentially an update of the existing V12 Vantage; however, while the old car's 6.0-litre V12 engine developed a measly 510bhp, Aston has upped this to an impressive 565bhp for the new car. Torque also goes up, from 420lb-ft to 457lb-ft.
The power goes to the rear wheels through a brand new seven-speed automatic gearbox, and while Aston has yet to reveal the car's 0-62mph time (a sub 4.0-second time seems likely), we can reveal that the Vantage S will hit 205mph.
On the outside, Aston has thrown away its traditional aluminium grille and replaced it with a new black carbon-fibre mesh design which is said to improve airflow to the engine. New ten-spoke alloy wheels and an exterior graphics pack are also included, the latter of which also features a black painted roof and a part-painted boot panel.
Inside, the Aston gets new seats, swathed in either leather or alcantara, and with revised stitching. Buyers also have the choice to add the Carbon Fibre Interior Pack, which adds the material to the car's fascia and door pulls, along with new black pedals.
Aston Martin CEO Dr Ulrich Bez said of the new car: "The new V12 Vantage S is, simply, pure Aston Martin. It is extreme in its nature yet truly timeless in its design language.
"It is our most powerful engine in a beautifully tailored suit. It is elegant, yet brutal, and it is at the same time easy to control. It has everything that sums up Aston Martin: power, beauty and soul."
