Renowned car restorer and TV personality Ant Anstead will headline the inaugural International Ford Show it has been revealed.

Star of Channel 4 hit series For The Love of Cars, the 36-year-old will be at the event at Surrey’s Sandown Park to entertain the crowds with stories about his vehicle design and restoration business as well as to talk about the Mk1 Ford Escort Mexico he and his team restored in the first ever episode of the programme he co-presents with actor Philip Glenister.

“I’m delighted to be attending The International Ford Show, as the very first car we featured on For the Love of Cars was an Escort Mexico Mk 1”, said Anstead, who recently bought himself a Mk1 Ford Escort van.

“There’s a huge amount of love around for classic Fords, and the popularity of the marque means it has touched almost everybody’s life at some point – every single one of us has a Ford memory, either owning one, riding in one, or having a friend or family member who owned one, so being part of an event that celebrates those cars and those memories is a real honour.”

Tickets for the event, which takes place on the weekend of the 30 April-1 May, cost £10 per person for single day access of £30 for weekend.  On-site camping is available for an extra £10 per person.  Advance tickets can be booked by visiting www.internationalfordshow.co.uk.
