The triumvirate of supercar superstars that will headline next month’s Performance Car Show at the Birmingham NEC have been confirmed.

The Lamborghini Huracan, Ferrari 458 Speciale, and the BMW i8 are expected to steal the show which is open to the public on 10-11 January.
The 610bhp, 5.2-litre V10-powered Lamborghini Huracan debuted this year as the replacement for the legendary Gallardo, and boasts a top speed of 202mph and 0-62mph time of just 3.2 seconds.  With four-wheel-drive, lightweight carbon fibre and aluminium chassis, and ceramic brakes, the Huracan looks to be more than capable of filling the Gallardo’s imposing shoes.
Not to be outdone, Ferrari are sending their most powerful naturally-aspirated V8 ever produced, the 605bhp Ferrari 458 Speciale.  With a mid-mounted engine and active aerodynamics, the 458 Speciale tips the scales at only 1,290kg.
Meanwhile, the BMW i8 offers a vision of the future of supercars, with hybrid power provided by a three-cylinder turbo engine and an electric motor producing 357bhp.  That combination results in not only a rapid 0-62mph time of just 4.4 seconds, but also a staggering fuel economy figure of up to 134.5mpg.
Other attractions awaiting visitors to the show include the first road-legal version of Mexico’s Vuhl 05 track-focused supercar - with its 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds – a  5,000-seat live action arena, new car and product launches, and all the latest accessories.  Last year the Performance Car Show, which takes place alongside Europe’s biggest motorsport spectacular Autosport International, attracted 82,000 people to the NEC.
