Peugeot RCZ Overview

The current RCZ comes with a selection of two different engines, a 2.0 litre diesel and a 1.6 litre turbo petrol engine. Both engines offer a lot, so you won’t be disappointed with either. The Petrol engines are capable of around 40 mpg whilst the diesel offers around 50 mpg.

Whilst being a very sporty model, comfort and refinement are not sacrificed making the RCZ a pleasant experience on the road which can be exciting if you want it to be.

Background

The Peugeot RCZ began as a concept car in 2007; it was then put into production in 2009 before being put into production in 2010. It has received much critical acclaim, being voted the ‘Best Coupe’ at the Auto Express New Car Awards in 2011 for a second time, as well as being voted the ‘Coupe of the Year’ at the Top Gear Magazine Awards in 2010.

The RCZ comes with four seat rather than five, yet the rear seats aren’t exactly spacious so you might struggle with 4 passengers. The RCZ also comes with the choice of 4 optional packs; the Monaco Kit, the Elan Kit, the Sportif Kit and a 19 inch Alloys kit.

Summary

The Peugeot RCZ is a brilliant piece of engineering that really looks the part. It provides a great drive, offers the choice of two good engines and as a result is seen as one of the best cars in its class.
