A new performance package has been made available for the Volvo S90 and V90.

The Polestar Performance Optimisation package joins the S90 and V90 ranges having been successfully launched on the XC90 model last year. A comprehensive drivetrain upgrade is complimented by improved throttle response, gearshift speed and precision, and engine performance which sees output from the D5 PowerPulse diesel unit rise from 235bhp to 240bhp. Despite this the fuel consumption, emissions, and service intervals remain unaltered.

The £835 upgrade package has been developed by a team of engineers and racing drivers at Polestar Cyan Racing.

Niels Moller, boss of Volvo’s performance Polestar division, “The S90 and V90 already offer excellent driving dynamics, and we are delighted to raise the performance level even further with Polestar Performance Optimisation.”
