Just 18 months after making its debut on the European market, the Vauxhall Adam city car has celebrated reaching the 100,000 order mark.
The Adam has proved to be a hugely popular choice in its sector, with the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and the Netherlands emerging as key markets for the model.
Vauxhall have recently announced the introduction of the all-new three-cylinder 1.0-litre ECOTEC Direct Injection Turbo engine across the Adam range. The new engine produces 113bhp, and adds to an already expansive choice of options offered on the Adam. Vauxhall say the number of different specification and trim level combinations exceeds one million.
Vauxhall has also added a new version of the model, the Adam Rocks Air. The manufacturer proclaims the new model to be the first urban mini three-door crossover, with a combination of beefy crossover-style looks and a full-length folding canvas roof. The Vauxhall Adam Rocks Air model was unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, and will go on sale next month.
“Thanks to its striking design and over a million different spec combinations, Adam has been a big hit with our customers,” said Tim Tozer, Vauxhall’s Chairman and Managing Director.
