Fresh from a record year for exports, lightweight sports car maker Caterham Cars is preparing to repeat that sales success on home soil by expanding its UK dealer network.

Two new authorised dealers – one in the North and one in the South or the country – are now stocking Caterham’s recently-extended range of products as the manufacturer continues to expand its network. Caterham say the plans don’t stop there, and that more UK dealers are expected to be added shortly.

Both Cheshire-based Oakmere Motor Group, located near the Oulton Park race circuit, and Williams Automobiles of Chipping Sodbury have extensive experience of sales and servicing used Caterhams, but will now offer for sale the manufacturer’s range of new cars from the Seven 160 to the Seven 620R. The family-owned Oakmere Motor Group used to operate one of the UK’s largest TVR dealerships from its Northwich base, while Williams Automobiles are also steeped in British sports car tradition having been founded in 1911 and are currently one of the UK’s oldest Lotus and Morgan authorised.

“Last year was a record year for Caterham in terms of export sales as demand increased for our products”, said the company’s Chief Commercial Officer David Ridley.

“While we are intent on growing our business globally, we have not forgotten our roots and the expansion of the UK network is a reflection of the importance we place on our customers here at home.”
