Toyota have gotten into the Halloween spirit by despatching a team of intrepid ghost-hunters to Britain’s most-haunted village behind the wheel of a Yaris Sport.

The fearless team spent the night lurking around the misty lanes of Pluckley in Kent on the trail of ghosts and banshees in their blood red Toyota Yaris, hoping for a spine-chilling experience to record on the Japanese manufacturer’s official UK blog.

The Kent village of Pluckley is home to around 1,500 living souls, and earned its place in the Guinness Book of Records as Britain’s most-haunted after many ghost sightings, with more than a dozen restless sprits reported to roam the area.  These include such legends as the Screaming Man – thought to be the spectre of a worker killed in an accident at the old Pluckley brickworks – the Highwayman, the Burning Gyspy, and the tragic Red Lady, who has been seen emerging from the church tomb in which she was buried clutching a single red rose.

The full tale of the Toyota Yaris and its ghost-busting occupants can be read on Toyota’s official UK blog.
