Are you lucky enough to own a McLaren 720S, but are worried that it just doesn’t quite stand out enough? Then DVLA Personalised Registrations’ summer auction could provide the answer.

Listed in the sale with just a £250 reserve is MCL 720S, perfect for a McLaren 720S owner. Similar numbers sold include MCL 650S, which fetched £12,500 in May 2014, and 650S which sold for £31,000 later that year, so it’s fair to say that £250 reserve will be exceeded.

Other supercar related numbers up for grabs at the three-day summer sale, which takes place at Mercedes-Benz World in Surrey from Wednesday, include 488 A and A488 GTS – likely to attract Ferraristas – and 996 GT, which will resonate with Porsche fans.

Poker players might like to drive around with ACE 10W (ACE LOW) on their car, likewise Lord of the Rings fans with 81 LBO (BILBO). Bridgett might snap up BR16 ETT, Ruth could win the bidding on RUT 1H (RUTH), and Mr, or indeed Mrs Smith, could soon have a SM17 THY (SMITHY) plate on their car.

In all, some 1,250 personalised registrations will be on offer at DVLA Personalised Registrations’ summer sale.
