A new app which allows drivers to reserve parking spaces from their dashboard is to be made available for download to MINI owners via the Apple Store.

The JustPark app is linked to 100,000 parking spaces in the UK, and registered-users will be able to search, reserve, and locate a space via the free-to-download service and eliminate the hassle of circling the streets looking for a spot, something the creators claim costs the average driver 106 days of their life.
The app allows drivers to browse available spaces in their selected area, covering car parks, hotels, homes, and pubs, and offers pricing details as well as reviews from previous users. When a space has been chosen the MINI’s navigation system will direct the driver to its location.
JustPark’s founder Anthony Eskinazi, said: “In 2014, no driver should have to experience the stress and uncertainty of circling the streets for that elusive parking space. JustPark gives drivers the convenience of finding and reserving an affordable parking space in moments. Just as we use apps to order taxis and takeaways, parking is finally being brought out of the dark ages.”
MINI’s parent company BMW has invested in the development of JustPark through its BMW iVentures company. MINI UK Director Chris Brownridge added, “MINI Connected is all about helping owners to interact with the outside world whilst on the move. Not only does our in-car system allow people to talk, listen and engage in a convenient way, but now it also helps them to find a place to park.  The JustPark functionality – which is a world-first for MINI – will make securing a convenient parking place in our busy towns and cities a breeze.”
