Vauxhall will use next month’s Paris Motor Show to showcase a new top-of-the-range ADAM model, the manufacturer has announced.
The Vauxhall ADAM S will debut at the event which takes place from 4-19 October, ahead of order books opening in January next year.
The ADAM S is powered a 1.4-litre ECOTEC turbo engine with a specially-tuned chassis and VXR braking system. The 148bhp engine with a six-speed manual gearbox gives the ADAM S a 0-62mph time of 8.5 seconds, and a top speed of 124mph. The lightweight power plant is Euro 6 compliant and comes with Start/Stop technology, 44.1mpg combined fuel economy figure, and CO2 emissions of 149g/km. The standard-fit 17-inch alloy wheels can be upgraded to 18-inches, both of which come with custom-made VXR S brakes.
The Vauxhall ADAM S gets its own look, with unique front lip spoiler, side moulding, extended rear bumper, exhaust tailpipe, rear spoiler, and C-pillar logo. Amongst the choice of body and roof paint finish option is a Red ‘n’ Roll scheme designed exclusively for the top-of-the-range model, while amongst interior seating options are three ADAM S specific options including the Recaro Performance seats in Morrocana or Nappa leather. The Red ‘n’ Roll theme gets black and red leather steering wheel, gear knob, and handbrake. The new model also gets tinted LED daytime running and rear tail lights, electronic climate control, and state-of-the-art connectivity system. This infotainment system is compatible with both ANDROID and Apple iOS smartphones, providing USB and Bluetooth connectivity, audio streaming, seven speakers, 7-inch hi-def colour touch-screen, and navigation via the BringGo app.
