A new development by Nissan has seen certain models in the Qashqai range benefit from lower running costs.

All models with 18-inch alloy wheel will now boast factory-fitted low resistance tyres, a move which means CO2 and fuel consumption now matches those fitted with 17-inch wheels.  As a result, dCi 110 diesel-powered Qashqais with 18-inch alloy wheels see their CO2 emissions fall below the 100g/km mark.  Meanwhile, DiG-T 115 and dCi 130 4WD models now emit just 129g/km, exempting them from first year road tax representing a saving of £130.

Business users and fleet buyers will also be able to take advantage of significant cost savings.  Lower vehicle excise duty rates reduce Benefit-in-Kind payments by 1%, while combined fuel economy up to 74.mpg is available.
