Nissan have announced the launch price for the new Nissan GT-R NISMO, which hits UK showroom from the start of next month.

The range-topping GT-R NISMO will set you back £149,995, but will have performance to match the price tag thanks to a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 producing 592bhp. That makes is the most powerful GT-R by some 30bhp thanks to an engine which feature a brace of high-flow, large diameter turbochargers borrowed from Nissan’s GT3 competition racers, with the power delivered to all four wheels via a six-speed dual-clutch paddleshift gearbox.

Like the rest of the new GT-R range, the model’s front end features a striking new bumper, but on the NISMO it is made from weight-saving carbon fibre, while the enlarged dark chrome V-motion grille has been designed to maximise air intake. The design also aids aerodynamic performance, and gives the GT-R NISMO more downforce than any previous Nissan production car. To harness this, Nissan’s engineers have refined the NISMO’s shock absorber, springs, and stabilisers, resulting in improved slalom times and cornering performance.

Inside is a redesigned dashboard, steering wheel and centre armrest, all covered with high-quality Alcantara leather, while the leather-covered Recaro carbon bucket seats have red Alcantara.

The Nissan GT-R NISMO is available in the UK from 1 November.
