Nissan have announced they are to create what they claim is the first ever 'super crossover'.

The unholy marriage of the Nissan Juke and GT-R models by race engineering firm Ray Mallock Limited and Nissan's Technical Centre for Europe will complete its first tests in November, but sadly for performance car fans the road legal concept car will not be going into production.

The Nissan Juke-R will be powered by a 3.8-litre twin-turbo V6 engine and comes with the GT-R's 6-speed transaxle, 4WD driveline and propshaft. The Juke-R will sit on 20-inch forged alloy wheels.

The Juke's dashboard has been revised to accommodate the array of dials found in the GT-R, but retains the Juke's signature centre console. Its twin racing seats have 5-point harnesses, and are contained in an FIA-standard roll cage.

Just two Juke-Rs are to be created, one in left-hand drive and one in right-hand drive.
