The full specification and pricing structure for the all-new Vauxhall Astra, which hits UK showrooms in October, have been confirmed by the manufacturer.

Prices for the British-built model will start from £15,295, with many savings on offer compared to the current Astra range.

The simplified range will feature Design, Tech Line, Energy, SRi, and Elite trim levels, with upgraded Nav versions of the SRi and Elite also available. Entry-level Astra Design models start from £15,295, a saving of £150 over the outgoing Design model. For that price you can expect 16-inch alloy wheels, LED daytime running lights, 6 airbags, air conditioning, audio system with digital radio, 7-inch colour touchscreen with USB & aux in, Bluetooth connectivity, multi-function trip computer, cruise control and electrically operated front and rear windows as standard.

Prices for the Tech Line trim start at £775 less than the current model, starting from £15,995, and gain the Navi 900 satellite navigation system with 8 inch colour touchscreen and voice recognition, leather steering wheel, and adjustable front armrest.

The Energy trim level starts from £17,295 and adds ten-spoke 17-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, and a heated leather steering wheel.

With prices starting from £17,895 the new Astra SRi is a full £970 less than the outgoing SRi model. The equipment list grows to include 17-inch five twin-spoke alloy wheels, front camera system, OnStar, Sight & Light Pack, sports seats, sport leather steering wheel, and front fog lamps.

At £19,315, prices for the Astra Elite start at £1,960 less than the outgoing model and includes 17-inch multi spoke alloy wheels, heated leather ergonomic sports front seats with extendable seat cushions, tilt and four-way electrical lumbar adjustment, heated rear outer seats, OnStar, Sight & Light Pack, electronic climate control, front fog lamps, electric folding door mirrors, and two rear USB chargers.

The SRi and Elite both have Nav versions, which add the Navi 900 satellite navigation system with 8 inch colour touchscreen and voice recognition.

Under the bonnet, the £15,995 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol Turbo Start/Stop ecoFLEX model emits just 96g/km of CO2 when mated the Easytronic five-speed automatic gearbox. Priced from £17,495, the 1.6-litre ‘Whisper Diesel’ ecoFLEX engine with Start/Stop is even more frugal, with a claimed 91.1mpg and CO emissions as low as 82g/km.
