Lotus have introduced a new track-focused version of their Exige S model, following swiftly in the wheeltracks of the Elise 220 Cup and recently revealed Evora 400 models elsewhere in its range.

The 3.5-litre supercharged V6 powered Lotus Exige S Club Racer will go from 0-62mph in four seconds flat, and continue all the way to a top speed of 170mph. The performance and handling of the lightweight aluminium and composite constructed model is enhanced by a front splitter, rear wing, and flat underside, which add 42kg of aerodynamic downforce. The inclusion of a lightweight battery, centre console, doors, and sports seats mean the Club Racer is 15kg lighter than the standard Exige S. The Exige S Club Racer returns a combined 28mpg, and CO2 emissions of 235g/km. The model also features adjustable traction control with three settings, and the lightweight sports seats are available in leather or Alcantara trim with colour coded stitching.

Available in coupe form only, the Lotus Exige S Club Racer is available in Metallic White, Exige Orange, Metallic Yellow, or Matt Black paint finish, with the front splitter, rear wing, front access panel, roof panel, and wing mirrors finished in matt black. The model is distinguished further by Club Racer decals on the dashboard, seats, and front wings.

Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc, said: "Factoring the Club Racer ethos into the Exige enhances the track-focussed potential of this important model. It encompasses our legendary benchmark in handling, with lightweight and efficient construction and that we will always put a peerless and pure driving experience first."

The Lotus Exige S Club Racer is available for order now.
