Skoda have confirmed its all-new Superb will be given its grand unveiling in Prague in mid-February, before its official launch at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
Final testing of the third-generation Superb has recently been completed in Southern Europe, and although full specification details for Skoda’s flagship model remain unknown the manufacturer has confirmed that the new model, which is based on the Volkswagen Group MQB platform, will offer even greater boot space. The Skoda Superb was first launched in 2001, and has sold more than 700,000 examples worldwide over the first two generations of the model.
The new model is expected to go on sale in Europe next summer, with the first UK deliveries expected to commence in the autumn.
Skoda CEO Professor Dr Winfried Vahland said, “The new Skoda Superb is the best Skoda ever. This latest generation of our flagship will appeal to new groups of customers in the business and private sector. The qualities of the Superb emphasise the brand’s values and point to the future of Skoda.”
