The Volkswagen Touareg SUV now has a new top-of-the-range trim level.
Priced from £48,095, the Touareg R-Line Plus adds to the existing R-Line spec with 21-inch ‘Mallory’ alloy wheels, and VW’s Area View technology as standard. Area View boasts front, rear and side wide-angle cameras to provide a 360-degree bird’s-eye exterior view beamed to the Touareg’s infotainment display screen. Inside, the Touareg R-Line Plus has Piano Black finish to the centre console, dash, and air vent surrounds, ‘Vienna’ leather upholstery, and 14-way electronically adjustable front seats. The R-Line trim already included lowered sports suspension, R-Line body styling, a panoramic sunroof, Bi-xenon headlights, black roof-lining, a heated steering wheel, electric tailgate, and keyless entry. All Touareg models come with Volkswagen’s 4MOTION all-wheel-drive system.
Priced at £1,160 over the existing R-Line trim, the R-Line Plus adds £3,255 worth of extra equipment. R-Line plus models are powered by a choice of two 3.0-litre V6 TDI engines, both offering 42.8mpg, emitting 173g/km in 201bhp form and 174g/km with 258bhp output.
