With a selection of brand new features this fashionable new MINI really breaks the mold.

The strapline for the new MINI Hipster is 'Swerve the Mainstream', and with features like the Instagram filter windows, the twin tape deck, fixed gear drive, and repurposed denim seat covers, it is hard to argue that they haven't achieved that.

The most controversial feature is perhaps the Fixed gear drive transmission, a one gear solution with a max speed of 25mph. Here's what MINI had to say about the feature: 'The new MINI Hipster Hatch has just one forward gear with a maximum speed of 25 mph. Taking inspiration from the ‘Fixie’ pedal bike, we removed 4 of the forward gears to give you a greater feeling of control when you’re popping out for a superfood smoothie. The result is a MINI that’s lighter, simpler and more thrilling to drive.'

So there you have it. In other news, Skoda have released a dog umbrella which will come inside the door of the new Superb as standard.
