Hyundai have confirmed the UK pricing structure for the new i40 range, which is on sale now priced from £19,600.

Available in S, SE Nav, SE Nav Business, and Premium trim levels, the new i40 comes in both saloon and tourer form, and is powered by Hyundai’s Blue Drive 1.7-diesel power plant engineered to deliver a maximum of either 113bhp or 139bhp. Transmission choices are a six-speed manual gearbox, or a new seven-speed DCT automatic. The European-designed new i40 has been given a number of styling enhancements, notably a new front grille and bumper, and reshaped front and rear lights.

The entry-level S features 16-inch alloy wheels, intelligent stop/go, leather-wrapped gear lever and steering wheel, driver’s seat height adjustment and lumbar support, 60/40 split fold rear seats, air conditioning, automatic headlights, LED daytime running lights, heated electric door mirrors, front and rear electric windows, six-speaker CD audio system, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, curtain airbags, brake assist system, ABS with electronic brake force distribution, electronic stability programme, hill start assist, remote central locking, and tyre pressure monitoring system.

Priced from £21,600, the SE Nav gains brush chrome-effect dash trim, stainless steel door sill, heated steering wheel, height-adjustable passenger seat, heated front seats, auto-dimming rear view mirror, automatic windscreen wipers, dual-zone climate control, LED front fog lights, rear privacy glass, speed-limited cruise control, DAB radio, front and rear parking sensors, and touchscreen SatNav with rear-view parking camera.

The i40 SE Nav Business starts from £23,100, and gains driver’s seat memory function, electrically adjustable front passenger seat with lumbar support, leather seat trim, ventilated front seats, and keyless smart entry with engine start/stop button.

Top spec Premium models begin at £25,600, and benefit from the addition of 18-inch alloys, black radiator grille with chrome inserts, satin chrome effect door frame and beltline mouldings, heated rear seats, panoramic tilt and slide sunroof, luggage net, colour LCD supervision instrument cluster, lane departure warning system, and – on the tourer model – a smart electric tailgate.
